Scottish Highland Cattle

Lone Pine Livestock

Full-blood Highland cattle raised on Iowa grass — beef, breeding stock, and show calves backed by decades of genetic history.

Family Owned & Operated

Every animal on our place is raised by hand, right here in Pisgah — no shortcuts, no middlemen.

Health & Wellbeing First

From pasture to PEMF therapy, our mission is enhancing the health and wellbeing of livestock and humans alike.

Proven in the Show Ring

Our Highland genetics are tested at the cattleman's show and the state fair — not just on paper.

The Fold

Highlands, Raised the Long Way

Highlands are a slower breed, and we let them be one. Our fold grazes Iowa pasture year round, calves out on grass, and grows at its own pace — which is exactly what gives Highland cattle their hardiness, their temperament, and that coat.

It also makes them a pleasure to be around. Ours are handled from the first day, halter broke, and used to people.

Highland Beef

Grass-Fed, Full-Blood Highland Beef

Highland cattle mature slower and marble differently than commercial breeds, giving you a leaner, richly flavored beef raised on Iowa grass with no unnecessary shortcuts. Sold by the whole, half, or quarter, and by the cut when available.
